How embarrassing that I can't remember the names of my co-workers in this photo taken by Alan Hollick. (That's me - Willy- with glasses on the right) Richard thinks the first on the left could well be a youngster who lived nearly opposite in West Borough and the second person (chopping) could be Norman Trinkle. Can anyone confirm? Note the large wooden cart with WYG stenciled on the side. Also that nearest roof on the left is where our electricity cable came from. I remember the hassle straining the wire from there across the yard to the Stores. Update - You're right Richard, I never noticed before, but on the left near the trolley is a mysterious hand/arm pointing a "shotgun" at the Slaves. Wonder who that was and why they don't appear in this photo? |
