Alan Hollick's thoughts about the early '50s Panto scripts.
The “Christmas Pudding” show was mainly extracts from the intended pantomime "Mother Hubbard" which I wrote and in which Brian Willis would have been one of the Three Fiddlers. The panto did not take place because I had my appendix out, and the time I was off killed off the panto.

Rumpelstiltskin was written by Gabby using some of Mother Hubbard script and some of his own. In view of his army service I don't know how he thought it would ever be produced, or was it be on his demob? I know he intended to play the Dame as an Old Mother Riley character and it is written accordingly. I was not due to be in it as I was about to join the RAF
