Some thoughts from Stella (Charman)
Stella lives in Australia and writes that she still has some printed material about the Club which she will look out for this site.

MUSIC
Gerry Chapple's mention of knowing the words of "The Runaway Train" reminds her too of those days. She still has a copy of that tune. Her record (I got told off for calling it a disc- Willy) is sung by Vernon Dalhart recorded by Zonophone with Guitar, Violin and Harmonica.

Funny how particular music sticks in your mind after all these years for Stella also remembers the Danny Kay record too, - the one mentioned by Dave Ellis - "Manic Depressive Pictures presents..." She reckons on the back was a piece called `Beetlebomb!'. What a memroy.

BOOKS
Stella also has fond memories of our Library... " ....... the Stores had a mass of Readers' Digests which I worked my way through. Happy days!"

FASHION
"I remember walking across the rec. to meet everyone, and wearing the very latest `New Look' circular skirt and wondering if I looked silly!"

Footnote. Stella "... finally came good and got my Doctorate"
She would be delighted to be contacted by any of the old gang and looks forward to hearing from them. (I have her email and can pass it on - Willy)
