A few pages from the great 16th June 1951 pageant held in the Rec.

Alan Hollick has contributed many photos of this pageant to our WYG web site. Several of them do not necessarily refer to the Youth Group episode but they are included here for general interest. I start with some pages from the programme followed by a list of the photos .

THIS WILL TAKE A LONG TIME TO DOWNLOAD. As there is so much detailed writing on these sheets I have not been able to optimise the graphics too strongly. Take your time reading this lot and it should all be downloaded by the time you have read the first page.

Rodway (Garage owner) took 16mm film of this event. I wonder if it still exists?

My diary for 18th February 1952 (several months after the event) says..."We were going to see the pageant film, the whole school went to the hall but the curtains weren't up so we all had to go back"T

We eventually saw it on 10th March
