The left hand side of the Dias. The year is 1563 and this scene is probably depicting Queen Elizabeth in the act of renewing the royal charter for the "Free Grammar School" Or perhaps the man standing in front of her is saying "If it pleases your Majesty we are now going to provide you with some entertainment"
(The sun really did shine every day then - it wasn't my rose coloured spectacles after all)
