JANUARY 1951 EDITION OF ROUNDABOUT - page one
Contributed by Richard (Curtis)
As you can see, this edition has not stood the ravages of time very well, so I am typing out the first page. (Willy)
THE YOUTH GROUP COLOURS
After discussions that have lasted some months in the group, the Committee came to final decision on the group colours on December 28th. The colours chosen were PURPLE AND GOLD. Rejected suggestions were Red and Green, Light Blue and Scarlet, and Scarlet and Purple.
Rosettes in the colours of the Group have now been made and the making of the flag with the detail of the badge in gold on a Purple background is soon to be commenced.

CHRISTMAS 1950
Our reports follow so late after those in the local press of our Christmas activities that we feel it would be superfluous to publish full reports of the Party and Dance.
We would, however, like to thank the “Nitwits” for a glorious party on the 23rd and accord our thanks to “Gabby” and “Pam” for a successful Dance.

GREETINGS
Mr. T.W.S.Garnham and Mr. A.E.Smeeth thank the Youth Group for their Christmas and New Year greetings which are heartily reciprocated.

The Chairman thanks members for their Christmas greetings and noted the ‘conspiracy’ to send him the ‘reindeer’ cards.

OUR MAILING LIST has increased by ten during the last month; circulation of this edition will be 70.

Hooray I've got rid of that blooming train set at last! (Willy)
