| "Sleeping Beauty" was NOT a WYG show. The play in three acts was written and produced by a lady called Mrs Browning Moss ('lived at the top of the Avenue). Her sister Miss Nichols, who lived with her, designed and made the costumes and the scenery. The performers were a group of youngsters these ladies had gathered especially for the production under the heading of St John's Juvenile Players and we put it on in St John's Hall. MANY of the players were between seven and 12 years of age. Sleeping Beauty is included in this WYG site as several members, or subsequent members, took part in the production. Unfortunately this programme is undated. | |
